How many birds can be seen in one day? That’s the question that drives a ‘big day,’ a 24-hour birding binge. On 5 May, go birding for 10 minutes around your home, or for 10 hours across your entire county, state, province, or country—and submit your sightings to eBird. Last year Global Big Day records almost 20,000 birders from 150 countries around the world joined together as a global team doing birding, contributing more than 50,000 checklists containing 6,564 species—more than 60% of the world’s birds.

FOGSL invites all its members and others to do birding on 5th of May and be part of Global Bid Day.
